Fitness Friday’s with Dr Joe Kasper. One of my clients who is in her early 60’s is performing an exercise called the Bridge. An excellent movement to strengthen the low back. It’s one of those exercises that most unfortunately leave out! For those who sit a lot, have bad posture, play sports or have a weak low back, the ”Bridge” can be added to your exercise protocol. Can be performed on the floor, in a bed, with or without a Swiss-Ball. *The key is to be consistent and never to train to the point of pain! Dr.Joe
Welcome to Fitness Fridays! Today I have two wonderful ladies that I am now training. Wanted to share with you a simple exercise that we are doing. I believe it is important that clients are safe, have fun and get results. One lower back exercise is a partner low back-erector spine opener/middle-anterior deltoid static shoulder contraction. This movement is about 30 seconds which creates blood flow, increases range of motion in the low back, stretches the hamstrings, strengthens the shoulders as well but is not over taxing to begin a training session.
